Observations on Matthew 27:1-10
Your failure does not have to be final. How you manage that failure is what is important.
When you look back at Peter and Judas, Peter is the failure and Judas the one whom was successful! Both failed Jesus, but they handled failure very differently!
Are you running Jesus' stop signs? Sin never comes suddenly. We can see that Jesus even gave Judas the opportunity to stop and not betray him!
Do not confuse remorse with repentance! Remorse comes from getting caught - repentance means there is another choice and you receive forgiveness.
Judas missed the forgiveness of the cross because he committed suicide.
Judas missed the peace of the resurrection because he died in his sin.
Judas needed to boycott hell and have REPENTED!
You are responsible for your choices!
We can see that Jesus' betrayal was a part of God's Plan. Judas did have a choice to not betray, to find repentance, to not kill himself.
He chose poorly.....
