I will be the first to admit I am a romantic and I loved this film when I first viewed it (though disappointed in where the movie went!). It was my first VHS video purchase ($80 !) and I still have to find it on DVD! I suppose the merging of technology, a nerd and an interesting situation appealed to me!
And, it proves that even a total reprobate such as Boy George can get a song even I will listen to.
