Luke 12:13-21
God has got stuff, lots of stuff! Do not be possessed/obsessed with or by possessions.
This man sought more.
He is not a bad guy, he was a diligent worker and manager.
But, he forgot death, assumed his life was not in peril. He was assured of happiness.
He had no spiritual discernment. He was a fool (...the fool says in his heart, there is no God…).
What we should learn:
1. Hold lightly to non-eternal things.
2. Face it – you are going to die!
3. Cultivate a rich walk with God.
4. Be ready to enter eternity at any moment!
To quote Augustine, “…God has promised us forgiveness, but God has not promised us a tomorrow in which to repent…”
