But, you know, probably most of the people I know are exactly like this! Yeah, somehow they are going to be the exception in life to every rule God has laid down for us. They can live their lives as they want, consequence free - after all, death only happens to those whom are not careful touching those wires. Right? There is a loop hole to this rule, somewhere. Right?
Then, somehow, it is suddenly a vengeful and hate filled God who comes down on them to correct them. Huh? How many warning signs does it take? How obvious does God have to be to make them understand? How badly injured must one become before they open their eyes to the fact that we live in a world of rules. Break the rules - well, there are consequences whether or not you think they are fair! Whether or not you think they make sense. Whether or not you think they apply to you or now!
Whether we are talking about "natural" occurrences, national disasters or even personal catastrophes - man is paying for his disobedience and choices before God. Sometimes the payment is death, other times injury. Always it is God attempting to call His wayward creation back.....
You were already warned, after all. You should have known. There are few surprises if you can read the signs along the way.
